Exports increased in March 2011 by 20.7% compared to February2010 and reached US$ 68.3 Million

According to the available data about smoking practices for the year 2010, 22.5% of persons aged 18 years and above in the Palestinian Territory are reported as smokers; 26.9% in the
West Bank and 14.6% in Gaza Strip

 

The overall Construction Cost Index (CCI) reached 111.45 with a decrease of 0.03% , the overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 110.16 with an increase of 0.47%.

Increase of the building licenses in the Palestinian Territory compared with previous quarter and corresponding quarter of 2010 The number of building licenses issued in the First quarter 2011 totaled 2,092.

The total number of guests in the Palestinian hotels was 132 thousands persons spend 291 thousands nights, of whom 36% were from European Union countries, and 14% were from other European Union countries, while 15% of the guests were from USA and Canada

The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) in the Palestinian Territory decrease by 3.23% compared with March 2011

 
The number of  persons participate in labour force in the Palestinian Territory was 997 thousand in the 1st quarter 2011; of whom 673 thousand in the West Bank and 324 thousand in Gaza Strip
   
The percentage of households that have a computer in the Palestinian Territory in 2010 was 48.8%, of which 49.9% in the West Bank and 46.6% in Gaza Strip, compared with about one quarter of households had computers in 2004
Statistics show that the total number of Palestinian population in 1948 was 1.4 million.  The estimated total number of Palestinians all over the world amounted to approximately 11 million by the end of 2010
The CPI decreased by 0.03% compared with March 2011 and increased by 3.51% compared with April 2010
The IPI for March 2011 indicates an increase by 5.94% compared with February 2011
The total number of guests in the Palestinian hotels was 577 thousands persons, who in total spent 1.25 million night during 2010.
