Press Releases     Exports increased in May 2011 by 9.8 percent compared to April 2011 and reached US$ 67.7 Million Construction Cost Index (CCI), Road Cost Index (RCI), Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) and Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank ,06/2011   According to 33.5% of the owners/ managers of the industrial enterprises (34.4% for the West Bank and 29.7% for Gaza Strip) The overall Producer Price1 Index (PPI) in the Palestinian Territory rose by 0.32% to 96.27 in June 2011 compared to May 2011. The overall Wholesale Price Index (WPI) in the Palestinian Territory , which indicates an increase by 0.60% compared to the first quarter 2011 The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the Palestinian Territory increased by 0.14% compared to May 2011 and increased by 3.07% compared to June 2010   The total number of workers in the transport, storage and communication sector in 2010 was 6.0 percent compare to 5.7 percent in 2009     The total Population of the Palestinian territory at mid 2011 was about 4.17 million, 2.58 million in West Bank and 1.59 million in Gaza Strip. Exports decreased in April 2011 by 9.7 percent compared to March 2011 and reached US$ 61.6 Million. The overall Quantity of Industrial Production Index (IPI) in the Palestinian Territory  for May 2011 showed an increase by 1.83 percent compared to April 2011.
