Press Releases     Construction Cost Index (CCI), Road Cost Index (RCI), Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) and Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank ,03/2011 The participation rate in the labour force of persons aged 15 years and over in the Palestinian Territory reached 41% distributed as 67% for males and 15% for females.   Exports decreased in February, 2011 by 15.2% compared to January, 2011 and reached US$ 56.6 Million. According to 15.6% of the owners/ managers of the industrial enterprises, the overall performance of their enterprises during the first quarter 2011 has improved from what it was during the fourth quarter 2010 The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) in the Palestinian Territory with its base month (January 2011=100) reached 101.17 in March 2011, Which indicates an increase by 1.26% compared with February 2011. The overall Wholesale Price Index (WPI) in the Palestinian Territory with its base year (2007=100) reached 119.34 in the first quarter 2011, which indicates an increase by 2.50% compared with the fourth quarter 2010.   Unemployment rate registered the highest in Tulkarm governorate among the West Bank Governorates, while Khan Younis Governorate registered the highest among Gaza Strip governorates     The preliminary results for the first agricultural census in the Palestinian Territory 2010     The CPI decreased by 0.05% compared with February 2011 and increased by 3.59% compared with March 2010.     The quantity of extracted oil in 2010 increased by 397.9% compared with 2009 in the Palestinian Territory, at which the quantity of extracted oil reached 23,754 tons.     Poverty is less prevalence in the Palestinian Territory than previously believed. Slightly more than one out of four Individuals (25.7%) were living below poverty line in 2010 According to 2010 data, the number of operating hospitals in the Palestinian Territory were 76 hospitals. On the other hand, the number of hospital beds per 1000 inhabitant in the Palestinian Territory reached 1.26. The overall Industrial Production Index (IPI) in the Palestinian Territory with its base month (January 2011=100) reached 100.18 in February 2011. The IPI indicates an increase by 0.18% compared with January 2011. About 1.9 million children under the age of 18 in the Palestinian Territory in the mid of 2010 .
